Vapor intrusion and vapor encroachment is currently the primary concern at properties impacted with volatile organic chemicals such as petroleum from leaking underground storage tanks or pipelines and chlorinated solvents from dry-cleaning facilities as are properties located in geologic areas with a high propensity for Radon gas.
Vapor Intrusion studies typically involve sampling indoor and ambient air, soil vapor and/or groundwater. AEI’s experienced geologists, engineers, and scientist perform vapor intrusion investigation studies at residential, commercial, and industrial properties on a daily basis.
If vapor intrusion or encroachment is found to be a concern, AEI’s engineers are experienced at designing vapor mitigation systems for most existing and new buildings.
